Jun kombucha contains both prebiotics and probiotics, which can help contribute to a healthy gut microbiome.
Prebiotics are a type of fiber; probiotics are a type of bacteria. Prebiotics serve as food for the probiotics. That way they can better do their work and keep you feeling healthy. Probiotics, the ‘good’ bacteria, contribute to a healthy productive gut microbiome.
Because I use raw local honey, my products retain both prebiotics and probiotics — as opposed to traditional kombucha, which usually just contain probiotics. Sometimes probiotics are added to kombucha and don’t occur naturally.
While fermented foods are viewed as healthy because of the presence of prebiotics and probiotics, it’s not the only benefit they have to offer. Here are some other things that fermented foods and beverages like Jun kombucha can do for you: Improve your mood. There’s a distinct gut-brain connection going on. There’s even a name for it: the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA for short) axis.
The gut contains a ton of neurons — and they can have a big impact on how you feel. For instance, did you know that up to 90% of the body’s serotonin is generated in the gut?
Improve your immunity. Fermented foods can contribute to your overall immunity. All that ‘good’ bacteria can help your body fight off disease and discourage bad bacteria from growing and causing illness or inflammation
